William Reagan Floyd, II of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the age of 41.  He was born on July 29, 1979 in Baton Rouge, son of Marina Marlene McBride Scrivens and the late Reagan Scott “Scotty” Floyd.  He was known as Reagan to his friends and family.  He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and never met a stranger.  Reagan was very charming and well liked by everyone he met.  He was a skilled carpenter and loved to cook.  He loved animals and referred to his beloved dog Batman as his “son”.  He had a huge, caring heart, was very loved, and will be missed by all that knew him.
Reagan is survived by his son, Blaine Reagan Floyd, of Baton Rouge; mother, Marina Marlene McBride Scrivens and fiancé Brian Boudreaux of Holden; sister, Angela “Angel” Renee Floyd Smith and husband Wade Emile Smith, Sr. of Hammond; brother, Parker Reagan Floyd of Baton Rouge; aunt, Kathy Kelleher Matherne and husband Darren Matherne of Denham Springs; uncle, Loren Conrad and wife Melissa Conrad of Baton Rouge; niece, Gabrielle Elizabeth Smith Hinshaw and husband Richard Bradley Hinshaw of Hammond; nephew, Wade Emile Smith, Jr. and fiancé Brighton Madyson Boudreaux of Hammond; great-nephews, Ezra Gray Hinshaw and Wade Emile Smith, III of Hammond, numerous cousins, and his beloved canine “son” Batman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Reagan Scott “Scotty” Floyd; grandparents, Cytha Parker Christianson and William Reagan Floyd, II and Maralyn Elizabeth Moore McBride and Eric Beverly McBride; and uncle, Eric “Ricky” Clyde McBride.
