Shirley Jean Rogers Methvien of Holden, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born on December 25, 1939 in Clarksville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Arnold T. Rogers and Nellie Aileen Blackstun Rogers.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles C. Methvien; daughters, Terrie Kinchen and Rhonda Methvien; and sons, Chuck Methvien (Donna) and Timothy Methvien (Tiffany); sisters, Diane Rogers Reynolds, and Pam Rogers Emmert; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra K. Peplow and Carolyn Sue Oliphant; brother, Richard "Dick" Rogers; grandson, Timothy John Methvien; and son-in-law, Gordon Kinchen.
A private graveside service will be held at the First United Pentecostal Church of Holden Cemetery.
