Shirley G. Allen passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 90. She was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1932 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Edna Gill and the late Thomas Jessie Gill. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Shirley loved to travel and vacation all across the U.S., visiting a total of 48 states, as well as the Bahama's. She loved her plants and flowers, cooking, Walmart, and J.C. Penny's. Shirley loved, and was loved, by all of her internet and Facebook friends.
Shirley is survived by her son, Russell Womack, daughter, Dottie Womack, stepchildren , Gerolyn Mannino (Anthony, Gerald David Allen (Angela), Sharon Allen, and Joyce Milton (Robert), grandchild, Kate Womack, step-grandchildren, Acey, Ramona, Eric, Troy, Curtis, Sarah, Jennifer, Kelle, Tracee, Brittany, Jessica, Richie, Heather, Shane, and Olivia, 46 great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Acey L. Allen; father, Thomas Jessie Gill; mother, Edna Gill; 3 infant children; brothers, Tom Allen Gill and Walter Gill Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service at Greensburg Cemetery, 45 Hwy 1042 , Greensburg, Louisiana 70441, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 am.
