Rita Jean Brown Blaize, 81 years old of Harahan, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
She was born on Wednesday, October 31, 1934, in Springfield, Louisiana.
Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia W. Greer; granddaughters, Christina Cummings and Lauren Houk; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Blaize; parents, Inez Katherine Davidson Brown and Terance A. Brown, Sr.; and brother, Terance A. Brown, Jr.
Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, Saturday, September 3, 2016, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, at 1:00 pm at Carter Cemetery in Springfield.
