Michael James Ridgell of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the age of 50.
He was born on November 16,1970 in Hammond, Louisiana , the son of Alonzo “Sonny” Ridgell, Jr. and Gloria “Deanie” Ridgell.
Michael lived life to the fullest and never turned down a challenge. From riding motorcycles at a young age to riding bulls. Michael was a talented craftsman with welding and he was an accomplished heavy equipment operator. He loved outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
Michael is survived by a son, Justin, Justin’s mom and step-Dad, Sharon and Eddie Dubois, a brother, Terral and wife Kim and 2 nieces, Amanda and Allie.
He is preceded in death by Alonzo Ridgell, Sr, Pearle Ridgell Dunnington (paternal grandparents ) and Joseph Vicknair and Lily Wall Vicknair ( maternal grandparents) along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family and friends will be received for a visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Johnson Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
