Mary Elaine Burnthorn Thompson, of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the age of 72. She was born on Sunday, August 15, 1948. Elaine is survived by her husband, Frank Thompson; daughters, Vicki Thompson Barnes (Frank) and Laura Thompson McCurley (Shawn); grandchildren, Breyer Barnes (Taylor), Brianna McCurley, Colt Barnes, Collin McCurley; great-grandchildren, Joseph Howard and Cooper Barnes; brothers, Collis and Lloyd Burnthorn. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earlo Burnthorn and Effie Reid Burnthorn; brother, Leroy Burnthorn; sister, Virginia White; two nieces, Sandy Burnthorn and Toni Lynn Misita Wilson.
