Levi was born October 3, 1943, in Independence to the late Jennie and Levi Joseph Rodriguez, Sr., and passed away May 30, 2021, at his home in Ponchatoula at age 77.
He was employed by Maison Blanche and Godchaux Department Stores in New Orleans and retired from Landmark Hotel in Metairie.
Levi is survived by his sister, Joyce E. Rodriguez, of Pineville; brothers, Morgan Rodriguez, of Ponchatoula, and George Rodriguez, of Metairie; and numerous nieces and nephews including Linda Peoples and husband, James Peoples, of Ponchatoula, who were Levi’s caretakers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Helen R. Bennett and Mary R. Chessir; and brothers, Hoarce Rodriguez, Herman Rodriguez, Jack Rodriguez, and Edward Rodriguez.
Visiting will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, after 9:00 am until religious services at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Eric Hattaway. He will be laid to rest in Noah Cemetery in Uneedus.
