Leon Vincent Latino, Sr.,  of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Lakeview Medical Center at the age of 80. He was born on Wednesday, April 1, 1942, in Hammond, Louisiana. Leon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He graduated from Independence High School, helped his family in their strawberry farm and worked at Ross and Wallace Paper Company.

He and his late wife, Sandra Mansour Latino, were the owners and managers of Al’s Steakhouse and Seafood in Hammond, Louisiana. Leon was also the manager at Ryan's Steak House, and manager of food service at North Oaks Medical Center. He loved Fishing Hunting, watching horse racing, playing cards and Woodworking. He loved mastering different woodworking techniques.

Leon is survived by his son, Leon V. Latino Jr. (Mary Latino), daughter Melissa Latino Tumbleston (Donnie Tumbleston), grandchildren, Trey Latino, Gabrielle Tumbleston, and Isabella Tumbleston, and brother, Frank Latino.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sandra Louise Mansur Latino,  parents, Phillip "Nick" Nicholas Latino and Cecilia Sciortino Latino, siblings, Josephine Lamonte, Joe Latino, Vincent Latino, Frances Migliore, Mary Pierson, Virginia Ciaramitaro, and Tony Latino.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Monday at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
