Betty Joyce Easley Ernst, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born on July 13, 1934, in Hammond, Louisiana.
Joyce is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Cathy and Jack Addison, son, Michael "String" Ernst, son & daughter-in-law, Joseph A. "Jay" and Jeannette Ernst, daughter & son-in-law, Mary and Roy Threeton, daughter & son-in-law, Judy and Owen Bourlet. Grandchildren, Trey Landry (Natalie), Brianne Neal (Nick), Ben Ernst, Joe P. Ernst, Jonathan Ernst (Catie), Amanda Chittenden (Bret), Braden Threeton (Courtney), Shannon Wells (Michael), Nathan Bourlet (Lindy), Megan Bourlet. Great-grandchildren, Brittany, Bryce, Camryn, Caytlin, Ashley, Braden, Haze, Knox, Jace, Cienna, Noah, Sabrina, Garrett, Julia, Emily, Tucker, Dustin, Dakota, Jalyn, Wyatt, Nathan Jr., Landen, and Adalyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis Ernst, parents, Augustus Easley and Gladys Johnson Easley Edwards, sisters, GoldaNell Eleser and Robbie Strahan, and granddaughter, Kayla Ernst.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Funeral Home Chapel - Ponchatoula on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
