John David Perry Sr., 55 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was born on Monday, April 22, 1963, in Hammond, Louisiana to Jack And Mary Ann Perry. John enjoyed life and loved hunting, gardening, football, chickens especially Banty Roosters, and tractors, but he especially loved spending time with his family.

John is survived by his companion, Frosty Maurer, his daughters, Kassidy Johnson and her husband Cody and Chancie Perry and her fiance Lane Kinchen, his sons, Brandon Perry and John Perry, Jr. and his wife Lesley, his grandchildren, Ellie and Emersyn Johnson, John III, Harper, Kandin, Braxton and Parker Perry, and Ryker Kinchen, his brothers, Ricky Perry and his wife Karen, Pat, Noel and Devin Perry, his sister, Jackie Purvis and her husband Kenny Wayne, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Ann Perry, his wife, Cynthia Perry, and his sister, Peggy Perry.

A Visitation for John will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and continue Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating John's Life will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Albin Family Cemetery in Independence.
