Jerrell Wayne Collins, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at Oceans Springs Hospital with his loving family by his side on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the age of 57. He was born on August 17, 1964, at Fort Polk.
Jerrell is survived by his fiancée, Helen Fortenberry; children, Brandon Elliott (Christy), Jeremiah Collins and Jenna Collins; stepchildren, Shelby, Whitney and Lauren Fortenberry; parents, Rosalie and Mike Delaughter; grandchildren, Mia, Brandon Jr., Thomas, and Hazel Elliott, and Damien and Blakely Fortenberry; and nephews, Nathan and Ben Burns.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Elliott; sister, Angela Delaughter Burns; granddaughter, Kaylee Elliott; and father, Jerrell Collins.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Mt. Stevens Cemetery in Independence, Louisiana.
