Herbert Lewis born on October 8, 1947 has gone to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016. He was 69 years old. He was a member and deacon of Loranger Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, Dad, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He never met a stranger and he loved sharing about his salvation.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn Barnhouse Lewis; daughter, Gabrielle Lewis Lee and husband Donald; son, Dathan Lewis; brother, Welton Lewis and wife Pat; two grandsons, Dustin Lee and wife Alisha, and Darrin Lee; three great grandchildren, Lucas, Micah, and Tucker Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Lewis; mother, Jennie Lewis; and brother, Nelson Lewis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Loranger Baptist Church, 54078 Hwy. 1062, Loranger, LA 70446, on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Briar Patch Cemetery.
