Glyndon "Dale" Shelby passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 75. He was born on Thursday, January 15, 1948 in Frederick, Oklahoma to the late Wynema Hahn Shelby and the late Leonard Shelby. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Dale is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Hoover Shelby; daughters, Juanita Shelby Grantham(Daniel) and Cheryl Shelby Breckwoldt; grandchildren, Chase Vincent Rourke(Sarah), Damian Grantham, and Dylan Grantham; sister, Lanelle Hancock(Ervin); brother, Jim Shelby; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Shelby and Wynema Hahn Shelby.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, March 31, 2023, beginning at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
