Elisabeth Giffen Fox, RN passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home in Hammond, LA. Beth and her husband, Dr. Roger O. Fox of 43 years, lived in Gulfport, MS for 27 years and spent the last 12 years in Hammond, LA. Beth was born in Clarksdale, MS on March 26, 1949, the daughter of William A. Giffen and Annelle Hopson. Her family later moved to Denton, TX where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at the “W”, USM, and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she completed her nursing degree. Beth is survived by her husband, Dr. Roger O. Fox; son, Robert Corley, Jr., his wife Aleisha and their 2 children, Madelyn and Kendall, her brother, Bill Giffen and sister, Nancy Beck. Beth was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carol Frederick. Beth and Roger shared 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. “Gigi” delighted in the special times she spent with her grandchildren. Beth had a true flare for adventure and enjoyed boating and traveling in the Caribbean Islands. Beth’s life will be celebrated with family and friends on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 12:00pm.
