Elaine went to her Heavenly home on Monday, December 26, 2016. She was a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Margaret loved to crochet and never met a stranger. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to all who will be deeply missed. Elaine is survived by her sister, Sue Conrad (Troy, Alabama); daughters, Linda Hoyt (Hammond), Jayme Scallon (Atlanta), Chizell King and husband Wayne (Springfield); sons, Jerald Persinger and wife Carol (Reserve), Dwayne Persinger and wife Judy (Brusly), and Gene Persinger and wife Barbara (Rose Pine); 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Cartozzo; parents, George and Vera Reed, Sr.; brothers, George Reed Jr., Joe Reed, and Bob Reed; and sisters, Mary Spooner, and Betty Ann Kaufman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 9:00 am until the service at 10:00 am.
