Dr. Lloyd Mire, psychologist, passed away in his home on August 5th. He received both Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from USL and his Doctorate at USM. Upon graduation, he practiced psychology in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Hammond State School, and his private practice in Hammond. He also worked as a school psychologist in New Orleans, Jefferson, and Tangipahoa Parishes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie and Galbert Trahan of Kaplan, Louisiana, and his brother, Percy Trahan.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Tumminello Mire, and his daughter Elizabeth.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
