David Patrick Chatagnier, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the age of 53. He was born on March 28, 1968, in Jefferson, Louisiana, the son of the late Grant Gerald Chatagnier, Sr. and Diane Talley McClain. David was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served from 1985 to 1989 as an Operations Specialist aboard the U.S.S. Dalhgren. David was an expert machinist and worked in metal manufacturing for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, worked hard for his family, and he adored his grandbabies and his niece, Elizabeth. David was an awesome bass player and cherished the time he spent playing music with the band Three Penny Ride. He loved spending time with his friends and family, boiling crawfish, grilling and watching the Saints play. David leaves behind so many good memories and he is dearly missed.
David is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Antoinette Domiano Chatagnier; sons, Russell Domiano (Ashley) and Jacob Domiano (Victoria); grandchildren, Weston, Liam, Eli and Isabella; siblings, Wilton Paul Chatagnier, Joseph Michael Chatagnier, Sharon Kaye Chatagnier Treadway, and Barbara Ann Chatagnier Turner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Grant Gerald Chatagnier, Jr.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Leon Dunn officiating.
