Charles (Charlie) Albert Dominguez, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at his home while surrounded by his adoring family. He was born on June 6, 1937, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Charlie and his wife, Sheila, were married for 59 loving years. Charlie worked as a surveyor and was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, serving the community for over 45 years. Charlie was well known for his humorous nature, love of all things western, and ornery personality.
Charles is survived by his wife, Sheila Roques Dominguez; his children: Steven (Kathy) Dominguez, Sr., Lori (Allen) Lloyd, and Mark (Wendi) Dominguez; his grandchildren: Ashley (Michael) Meliet, Steven (Sarah) Dominguez, Jr., Marvin Dominguez, and Hannah Dominguez; his great-grandchildren: Kailey, Aiden, Amber, and Carter Dominguez and Gabriel and Iris Meliet; and his brother, Thomas (Eddie) Dominguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Clarice Dominguez, and his brothers, Robert Jr., Dudley, Lloyd (Ray), and Gerald (Jerry) Dominguez.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
