Betty Griffin
Betty took her fishing pole to heaven on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the young age of 73. She was an X-Ray Technician by trade but loved spending time with her family outside with anything to do with crabbing, boating, but especially fishing. Betty could often be found playing bingo and playing her games. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Kermit Griffin Sr.; children, Theresa Spell Long, Douglas Allen Spell Jr. and wife Carol, Wendy Gail Griffin, Kermit Earl Griffin Jr.; grandchildren, Robin, Allen, Daniel, Jacob, Cody, Caleb, Cheyenne, Jasmine, Beth and Novalee; great-grandchildren, Owen, Olivia, Oriana, Liddian, Walker, Nika and Amos.
Preceding Betty in death were her parents, and her late husband, Douglas Spell Sr.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from the chapel of Harry Mckneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Freedom House Church Cemetery in Covington, LA.
