Alfred “Al” William Lawson Miller Sr., of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at the age of 81. He was born on February 28, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late William Miller and Alice Abreo Miller. Al was a body and fender man all his life. He owned an auto repair shop in Las Vegas with his brother-in-law, Ronnie Cosse, for many years. He retired from Community Motors in Hammond after 30 years, working alongside two of his closest friends and "partners in crime" Tracey Leonard and Mack Perkins. Al loved playing pool and was taught by some of the greatest professionals such as Minnesota Fats and Willie Mosconi. He also loved fishing, bowling, and most of all, the companionship of his beloved dogs, Precious and Rocket.

Al is survived by his children, Alfred "Al" Miller, Jr. (Rhonda), Shannon Miller Wolf (Michael), and Chad Miller (Deanna); grandchildren, Cory Miller, Lawson Miller, Maci Miller, Douglas Heil, Jr, Bryan Wolf, Brittnay Miller, Katelynn Munster, Camden Miller, Kolston Miller, Keegan Miller, and Cohen Miller; great grandchildren, Lena Miller, James Miller, Layla Miller, Cheryl Ann Wolf, Miah Heil, Asher Heil, Ariel Guernsey, and Skylar Guernsey; brother, Paul Holmes (Debbie); brothers-in-law Gene Cosse and Ronald Cosse, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 40 years, Linda Cosse Miller; son, Keith Miller; granddaughter, Ariel Miller; great grandson, C.J. Stewart; brother, Joseph "Jack" Miller; and sister, Delores "Dee" DiMattia.

A Graveside Service will be held at Sand Hill Cemetery, Highway 22 East, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10:30 am.
